Annual Church Picnic - The church's annual picnic was a success! Thanks to all who attended and participated. Let's plan to make next year's picnic even greater.
Prayers - Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Gretchen Pumphrey who died suddenly Monday. Gretchen is the daughter of John and Nancy Welsch, long time members of Holy Family. Gretchen and her siblings attended Holy Family Catholic School. Pleas keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time.
"Why Catholic" - It is still not too late to sign up for the "Why Catholic" small, faith based communities. Groups will meet for 6 weeks starting October 4th. Sign up cards are available at the entrance of the church.
RCIA Inquiry - Inquiry classes for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) will be held each Sunday morning at 10:30 A. M. in the church. Anyone who is thinking about joining our church community or who would like to become Catholic is invited to participate in these sessions. The sessions are informal discussions about our faith and topics related to the Catholic Church. Please contact Ann Pullum (601 982-2690) or Sis. Eileen if you would like to participate or know someone who would like to attend.

"Run for the King" - 5K Walk/run (3.1 miles) sponsored by Christ the King Catholic Church, Saturday Oct. 4 beginning at 8:00 AM. Pre-registered fees - $12 per person, $11 each per family, available until October 3rd. Call Jane Stevenson (601 573-0798) for more information. Proceeds will benefit the Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School. Registration forms are at the entrance of the church.
Congratulations - Jhonas Swan (son of Gabriel Swan) and an incoming 5th grader at St. Richard's, was recognized by the school as the winner of the first Top Pointer award. Every student at St. Richard's is a member of a "house", which is named afer a saint. Individual students and overall houses earn points for citizenship, kindness, discipline, attitude and character development. Congrats Jhonas!
Stewardship DVD - We have additional copies of the Stewardship DVD available for anyone who may have missed the presentation or would like a souvenir copy. Pick up your copy in the church's foyer.
Lost and Found - Please check the basket in the church's foyer for an assortment of items that have recently been found.
